Klean Farm Solutions:

Safer, Smarter Solutions for Animal Sanitation

Klean Water is Healthy Water...

'Thank you, Shawna, for turning us on to Klean water. We clean our tanks all the time, so my tanks aren’t that bad, but it made a big difference and my horse like this water better than an untreated water. It will be so nice to not clean, and my horses are getting really good water!

My tanks have never been this clear in the winter! Having clean tanks in the winter used to be difficult, thankful to no longer have to dump tanks!

Pictures don’t do it justice. Sparkling CLEAN trough that I haven’t cleaned in 7 weeks.

Animals Need Klean Environments...

In mid October while I was out of town one of my mares was bitten by a rattlesnake. On the day I found her it was obvious she had been bitten several days before and I wasn’t giving her much shot at living to be honest. Luckily right before going on vacation I had made an order of Klean Water, which also included the Klean Hoof soak. Two Socks was in such bad shape I knew there was no way she would be able to haul the several hours needed to get to a specialist. I did what I knew deep down would help her and that was to start soaking her immediately in the hoof soak. I soaked her twice a day for the first week and you will never be able to convince me that the soak isn’t what saved her. Look at how much infection was drawn out by the 3rd day. Antibiotics hadn’t been in her system for more than 24hrs, so I know it was the water. The healing I’ve seen while Klean Wound has been absolutely mind blowing! I’ve never seen a wound this bad in this area heal as quickly as it has!

Species-Specific Biosecurity Challenges

{{brizy_dc_image_alt imageSrc=

Biosecurity Issues within

Cattle

  • Water Contamination: Bacteria, algae & mineral buildup that affects hydration and gut health.
  • Hoof Health: Foot rot, digital dermatitis, and lameness affecting production.
  • Stall Sanitation: Ammonia build-up, foul odors and premature bedding breakdown.
  • Skin & Coat Issues: External parasites, fly irritation & fungal infections.
{{brizy_dc_image_alt imageSrc=

Biosecurity Issues within

Horses

  • Hydration Concerns: Horses are highly sensitive to contaminated or inconsistent water supplies.
  • Hoof Health: Thrush, white line disease & cracking are each thoroughly preventable.
  • Skin & Coat: Rain rot, sweet ich, external pests & fungal infections - truly actionable.
  • Wound Care: Cuts, scrapes and saddle sores all require rapid responses.
{{brizy_dc_image_alt imageSrc=

Biosecurity Issues within

Sheep

  • Gut Health: Parasitic worms (Haemonchus/“barber pole worm”) and scours in lambs reduce growth rates.
  • Hoof Health: Foot rot and scald are widespread and costly in flocks.
  • Skin & Coat: Flystrike (wool maggots) and external parasites like lice.
  • Water Quality: Poor water can quickly affect health, especially in arid grazing.
{{brizy_dc_image_alt imageSrc=

Biosecurity Issues within

Swine

  • Gut Microflora: Diarrhea, E. coli & salmonella outbreaks that travel between pens and troughs.
  • Sanitation: High density housing that often increases disease pressure.
  • Skin Issues: Mange, lesions and tail-biting wounds becoming infected.
  • Odor Control: A condition which impacts both animal and worker productivity.
{{brizy_dc_image_alt imageSrc=

Biosecurity Issues within

Dairy

  • Gut Health & Milk Production: Digestive upsets (acidosis, ketosis) reduce milk yield and fertility.
  • Udder Health: Mastitis is one of the most expensive dairy herd issues.
  • Hoof Health: Lameness from sole ulcers, and foot rot lowers productivity.
  • Water Quality: Is directly linked to milk yield and feed intake.
{{brizy_dc_image_alt imageSrc=

Biosecurity Issues within

Poultry

  • Drinking Water Sanitation: Algae & Bacteria in waterers and biofilm in drinker lines spreads pathogens.
  • Gut Health: Coccidiosis, salmonella, and necrotic enteritis increase mortality.
  • Issues with Skin & Feathers: Mites, lice, and dermatitis all affect egg production.
  • Housing Sanitation: Ammonia, damp litter, and odors reduce productivity.
